Complications

There were no procedural complications. No patient required reversal of the sedative/narcotic combination used.

In the postprocedure call backs by the nurses, a single patient recounted waking at 3 AM with recollections of “jaw clenching, trying to move away from the scope and clouds on the monitor”. His records indicated no distress, procedural length of 21 minutes and pain assessment of 0.
